The Lord is good...

We are excitedly looking forward to another addition to our little family sometime next March! The Lord has answered our prayers and we are so grateful. I keep thinking about having a baby in the house again and I just can't wait! Joey and William LOVE babies and are definitely in need of their own, instead of having to borrow the neighbors occasionally;)

I'm having such a pleasant evening! I can see the kids out on the front porch running back and forth, and I can see Wesley buffing the paint on his "new" car. We bought a Mercedes from my brother in law Noah, and Wesley is so excited! It's nice to always have my van available when I need it, now that he has his own car:) And Wesley painted the spindles on the front porch the other day, so they are now a pretty white. He is such a diligent man!

We are so excited about Noah and Dorothy's new baby!! I can't wait to go see him. Hopefully we can go this weekend...

Anyways, who wants to read a long post that has no pictures? I'll refrain from drawling on dully until I have some pictures to post. Which will hopefully be soon! I'm dreaming of getting my own little camera...

Our internet has been down for some time, hence the absence of posts. Ok, maybe I would have been too lazy to post even if it hadn't been down, but it's nice to have an excuse anyways.
I'm supposed to be washing dishes but this is more important. Right? ;)
Life is full and busy around here! We are working on painting our house, and bit by bit it's getting done. The kids tend to have paint on their clothes these days. I'll have to take some pictures when I get a chance. Of the house I mean. Though maybe I should get some pix of them in their painted clothes too. Maybe we'll start a new fad! ;)
Adeline took a few pictures of us down in the woods a few weeks ago, so here are some of my favorites...

I love Joey's smile:)

This is our new favorite photo op spot.
(On the Morton's blog there are some pix of all the grand kids here.)

My little goober buns.

And my hot dude. He 'da man!

Wow, my kids look calm, quiet and laid back. Bahahahaha!

Our lovely photographer. This girl has more charm and poise in her little finger than most people do in their whole body!

Yes, this is the last one actually. Go ahead and laugh at me for putting so many almost identical pictures on my blog. You would too if you had such a handsome hubby and such cute kids. ;)
I'll post pictures of the house soon. Er, umm, yeah, maybe in a few weeks... months..."when I get around to it."

Our new van!

We have been looking at buying a van for some time, and after lots of prayer, allot of Craigslist, AutoTrader, and Cars.com searching, I am very very pleased to present the newest member of our family: T&C!! We had been looking at getting a Honda Odyssey, but some mechanic friends of Wesley's recommended that we get a Town and Country, and we looked into them and just loved the nice looks and smooth ride. And the roomy interior:) We just love it! My husband is soo sweet to me!!

Those eyes just melt my heart!

The kids love the new ride despite William's uninterested stare.

This is SO William! I love his grin!

And because Mikey was over playing with Joey's "new" train set while I had Adeline's camera borrowed, I had to have a picture of his hilarious little self! This kid has so much personality!

The aforementioned train set.

Joey was so pleased to find that he could see himself in the lens.

William can usually be found carting whatever little treasures he has managed to find (rocks, dirt, toys, trash;) around in his truck. Wesley laughs so hard when he sees Williams little legs running just as fast as they'll take him pushing his truck. I love Wesley's laugh:-)

And when I downloaded my pictures off the camera, I found this super cute picture of my little heart throb that Adeline had taken, and I just had to post it! Sorry Adeline:-)

And I stole this one too while I was at it.

Well that's all. I am having a lovely day getting my house just perfect so I'll be ready when Kressant's baby is born, hopefully very soon:-) I love the excitement that comes with a new baby!! All the family comes, there's junk food and card games and late night visiting with all the family from out of town, cooing over and waiting your turn to hold the sweet new little one!! I've been missing Dorothy so much lately, and can't wait to see her when she and Noah come to see the new little one! And the Smith's too! I love my family:-)

The Lord has been so good to us lately! We are so grateful that Wesley has had steady work for the last few months. And I just can't thank the Lord enough for my new van!!!
We miss our little Timothy. It will be so wonderful to see him when we move on to our next life.
We are learning to trust the Lord, and praying for another baby when He sees fit to give us one. Wesley's Mom was encouraging me yesterday to be persistent in prayer. The Lord wants us to seek Him. I love reading about Hannah, Sarah, Rachel and all the other ladies who asked God to give them children, and how He heard their prayers! God gives good gifts to His children!!!

We are taking a break from working on the house, and are hoping to get the yard looking nice and build Wesley a shop for all his tools and things. Every guy needs a shop don't they?! Other than that we are just enjoying life, cherishing the time we have with Wesley as he is working allot these days, and trying to train our children in accordance with The Word. I love being with my kids all day! I would be so lonely without them.

Signing out,

~Rachel

House progress, etc.

Wesley and Joseph are gone to buy the pipes for the wood burning stove, as it's finally turned chilly enough to need it! So William and I are hanging out, blogging and doing laundry.
The Lord has been so faithful to provide work for Wesley in this economy, and has really blessed our work on the house the last few months.
Adeline was a dear and let us borrow the camera the other day so we could get these:) Thanks sweetie!
Hope y'all enjoy them.

Here's the front room. We're so excited to be able to use it now!

One of our next projects is laying the tile for the hearth.

The furniture is pretty much all temporary but it works great for now:)

We spent a whole week working on the trim for the front door! Scraping, burning and sanding the old layers of paint off, repairing some broken parts, and then caulking and painting it. It came out of an old bank.

We LOVE our piano!! Hearing Wesley play reminds of before we got married. He has such a neat style!

The middle room, which still needs allot of work.

Wesley laid most of the tile last week. He did such a great job didn't he? The stove used to be up on the Morton's third floor when they first moved out here. We're going to sand the rust off and blacken it.

Joey showing off his new bike.

Joe man.

Yes, there are a whole bunch of pictures of my kids. I'm a mom, humor me. ;)

My little cherry.

I tried to get a good one of both of them. 'Good' meaning where they both sit still, smile, look at the camera, don't pick their nose, oh wait, scratch that last thing. My kids would NEVER do that;) Anyways, this is as close as I got, and it ended up looking more like a wanted poster. Here it is nonetheless.

Playing in the dead grass. Oh, I mean in the front yard. ;)
As you can see, little munchie man started walking now.

One of the Morton's gardens which is across the lane from our house.

William posing for a "farmy" picture.

And Joey's turn. (As you can see we're really pushing the idea that we are "farmer people")
;)

And since I didn't get Adeline's camera back to her when I meant to, here are some ham shots from the next day. I couldn't just let a super nice camera just sit there unused could I?

William inquiring as to the whereabouts of his un-photogenic toy.

Gotta love that smile!

Drafting Uncle Tom for a quick shot.

We are now excepting donations for our up-and-coming children's shop 'Morton Consignments'.
;)

I love baby clothes!

The girls section is definitely wanting.

The shoe section isn't though. This is only part of it.

One of our favorite items. Makes you want to have a girl doesn't it?

Anyways that's the latest here at the JW homeplace. Hope everyone is having a delightful winter!

Finishing the floors

Wesley, sanding the floors in the front, and middle rooms.

My darling.

A super cheesy self portrait.

William samples the saw dust.

Dad and Mom Morton stopping by to take a look see.

Father and son.

Willie man unloading our sand paper for us.

Wesley worked almost non stop on it all say Saturday!

Cuties latest entertainment, pushing the stroller all over the yard.

Cutie himself.

With the first coat of polyurethane on.

One of our next projects is the mantle.

And no, that's not where the piano goes!

Hubby's latest find. (The motorcycle, not the window;)
He picked this one up for 50 smackers, put 30 into it and it runs like a top!
Such a smart guy:)
